Saltwhistle View is a fabulous river/beach front apartment for up to 4 in the town centre. Equipped to a very high standard & enjoying panoramic views of the River Teign, Shaldon & Dartmoor. You will never tire of spectacular sunsets & river/beach activities, all from the comfort of a comfy home. Imagine waking up with a cup of tea in bed or an evening G & T, enjoying the stunning landscape. What's better than having your own space and privacy, whilst still being directly above the beach! When you walk into the apartment you will be immediately captivated by the magnificent far-reaching river views from the living/dining room/kitchen area, principal bedroom and second bedroom. External steps lead from the car park area to the first-floor entrance hall with the principal bedroom at this level. A large picture window affords magnificent views of the River Teign, Shaldon & Dartmoor. This is a double (kingsize) room with fully fitted wall-to-wall wardrobes and a 43” Smart TV. Stairs lead from the first-floor hallway to the second-floor lounge/dining room (with 55” Smart TV) and open plan fully fitted kitchen where you can enjoy the spectacular views while sitting in the comfort of the lounge or kitchen area. The kitchen area is equipped with a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge, deep freeze, dishwasher and washer/dryer. At this level there is a fully fitted shower room with toilet, vanity wash hand basin and electric towel rail. There is a further twin bedded room (part restricted height) at the third-floor level with a large “Velux” style roof window – again with magnificent views. The apartment has gas central heating and is double-glazed throughout. There is parking for one small car. Teignmouth hosts a regular food festival and a Jazz Festival. You can cross the River Teign by one of the oldest working pedestrian ferries in the U.K. to visit the quaint village of Shaldon which has a small, rare and endangered species zoo, an 18 hole approach golf course – considered to be one of the best courses in the South West where you can enjoy the breathtaking views. The village is full of beautiful “chocolate box” cottages and has a traditional green and a bowling green and some lovely pubs and delightful cafes. The historic Cathedral city of Exeter is a 30 minute drive away or you can take the train from Teignmouth train station (a five-minute walk from Saltwhistle View). Torquay is a 20 minute drive away and the beautiful rugged tors of Dartmoor National Park can be reached in 30 minutes.
