Saltwhistle Beach is a wonderful west-facing riverfront ground and first-floor apartment for 2 plus cot with DIRECT BEACH ACCESS – in the town center of Teignmouth – fully equipped to a high standard with panoramic views of the River Teign, Shaldon & Dartmoor. When you walk into the apartment you are immediately captivated by the magnificent river views which are ever-changing with the rise and fall of the tides and the array of river activities. The apartment is comfortably furnished and equipped. There is a large lounge/dining room with a media wall Smart 43” LG TV and wall-mounted electric flame fire. The lounge beach door opens directly onto the beachside terrace opening up the whole room to the beauty of the location. There are 2 folding chairs and a small table available for use on the terrace but they need to be kept inside if not being used or they will be stolen. Directly outside the lounge there is a mooring trot that could be used by a guest with their own small boat, kayak or canoe entirely at their own risk, and with the owner’s permission. There is a slipway some 200 meters away. You will never tire of the spectacular sunsets, the sailing and rowing activities, the working docks loading and unloading their cargo and all of this from the comfort of your lounge. The well-equipped open plan kitchen has a washer/dryer, electric ceramic hob and oven, fridge/freezer and microwave. There is a shower room with a vanity wash hand basin, W.C. and electric towel rail. From the lounge area stairs lead to the first floor bedroom with a kingsize bed and Smart LG 43” TV. There are numerous local pubs, restaurants and cafes, a range of interesting shops, a picturesque promenade with a long sandy beach and so much more.

You can cross the River Teign by one of the oldest working pedestrian ferries in the U.K. to visit the quaint village of Shaldon which has a rare, & endangered species zoo, 18-hole approach golf courses – considered to be one of the best courses in the South West where you can enjoy the breathtaking views. The village is full of beautiful “chocolate box” cottages and has a traditional green and a bowling green and some lovely pubs and cafes. The historic Cathedral city of Exeter is a 30-minute drive away or you can take the train from Teignmouth train station (a 5-minute walk from Saltwhistle Beach). Torquay and the English Riviera is a 20-minute drive away and the beautiful rugged tors of Dartmoor National Park can be reached in 30 minutes.
