Sleeps-five bell tent with additional camping space in the heart of the Suffolk countryside. Set in an exclusive quarter-acre plot (with room for four additional tents if required), overlooking two small ponds. Equipped with a king-size bed, small double sofa-bed, optional comfortable camp bed, and outdoor seating. Located just 50 yards from showers, toilets and kitchen. The Bell Tent has a zipped in groundsheet, which is covered with Bell Tent matting, and numerous rugs. It also has under-bed draws, an ottoman to provide storage and seating, and a coat stand with shelves for nic-naks. In hot weather, the sides can be rolled up to provide extra ventilation and airflow, and in cold weather there is a wood burning stove to keep you toastie, as well as solar powered lights and a USB charging point. Be warned: Peace comes at a price. Rum Bridge is ‘offgrid’: the pod’s electricity supply is limited to solar lighting and device-charging, and is thus governed by the notoriously capricious English weather.

Nestling in the midst of the tranquil Suffolk countryside, just a short hop from historic Bury St Edmunds and the world renowned university city of Cambridge, the medieval wool town of Clare boasts a rich and diverse history; and a host of attractions and distractions which belie its diminutive size - including a monthly artisan market, galleries, antique shops, a golf course, cafes, pubs and restaurants. At its heart: Clare Castle Country Park; home to the remains of a 13th Century stone castle keep set on a 70ft-high motte commanding panoramic views of the town. Circumscribed by the meandering, reed fringed River Stour, and providing a glorious setting for a picnic or a preprandial stroll, the park is also the site of the original Clare Railway Station, in whose 1865 bookings hall you’ll find the unique Platform One cafe, which offers mouthwatering home cooked meals throughout the day. Of similar historic significance, the nearby Clare Priory dates back to 1248, making it one of the oldest religious houses in England; and the Ancient House Museum, located off the bustling market square, offers fascinating insights into the 2,000-year history of Suffolk's smallest town.
