Overlooking the beach and within easy walking distance of the town centre and pier, this AA 4-star character property has been welcoming guests to Eastbourne for over 170 years. One of Eastbourne’s original old ‘sea houses’, the dog-friendly Royal has recently undergone a complete renovation to provide comfortable, modern accommodation with free Wi-Fi throughout and flat-screen TVs. The building’s original features have been retained. Bathrooms feature heated towel rails, shaver points, fluffy white towels and complimentary Duck Island toiletries. Start each day with a healthy, fresh breakfast in the airy breakfast room. Choose from real ground coffee, freshly squeezed orange juice, a selection of organic yoghurts, cereals, homemade breads and jams. No English breakfasts are served. Soya milk is available.

The Royal is personally run and offers a warm welcome to your four-legged friends. We positively love having dogs to stay and can recommend local dog friendly pubs and eateries. Breakfasts are all suitable for vegetarians and vegan fare is always available. We do not serve meat or fish.
