Town centre location within walking distance to all the restaurants, bars and shops in Oakham. The rooms are situated down a courtyard at the rear of Costa Coffee. They are above Orbis, a popular restaurant which is fairly busy. Some noise from the restaurant may be heard in the rooms up until around 1030pm. This isn’t a problem for most people but please be aware. As we are in the centre of town there may also be general noise and hustle and bustle as you would expect. There is a church nearby (Church Street !) with chiming bells especially on a Sunday Morning. This is usually a peaceful location but it cannot be guaranteed to be quiet in the centre of town..
I run and manage the rooms myself and am usually available by phone or message for any information or enquiries. I do my utmost to make the rooms as comfortable as possible for every guests stay. The self check in is very straightforward and detailed information is sent before your stay Please feel free to message me for any information which may make your stay more enjoyable. There is not much I do not know about Oakham and the surrounding area !
Oakham is a bustling vibrant market town bursting with history. Exclusive privately owned bars, restaurants and shops and a Costa Coffee next door which may occasionally be noisy. The rooms are situated above the very popular Orbis Restaurant Oakham school is easily accessible, as is Oakham Castle. There is a good rail and bus service to and from Oakham, timetables can be accessed on line. Markets days in Oakham are Wednesday and Saturday Beautiful Rutland Water is just a short drive away The market towns if Uppingham, Melton Mowbray and Stamford are no more than twenty minutes away by car
