I’m a full time farmer and owner of the extraordinary GOLDINGS ESTATE HERTFORD. We are a conservation project supported by DEFRA and are designated Countryside Stewardship. We have native rare breed traditional breeds such as Dexter cattle , Gloucester old spot pigs , sheep such as the rare Soya , grey face Dartmoor , Shetland. We allow our animals to forage in their family groups our 60 acre grade 2 listed ancient woodlands, meadows and waterways . We are a unique family business, and encourage families and local groups such as scouts , brownies to visit a real working farm. We receive referrals from local government and charities for those who would benefit from our extremely friendly animals .

Wander the 60 acres of grade 2 listed Estate with ancient woodlands , spectacular views of the meadows and pastures grazed by our friendly , Dexter cattle , pigs & piglet , donkeys , and sheep. We offer lamb bottle feeding , and tours of the farm by Farmer Morag, at no charge. Why not collect eggs from our rare breed chickens for your breakfast . The Goldings canal and the extraordinary rare chalk stream , River Beane run through the estate. The vaulted barn is uniquely interior designed with all the comforts of home , huge dining table and comfy sofa area with LOG Burning fire . Wake up in a king size bed with spectacular views. Enjoy a bbq or fire pit in the outdoor covered dining area terrace. Perfect for couples , families or a girly break. Only minutes walk to the historic Hertford town centre with its bars , restaurants, cafes and nightlife. Fantastic farmers market on Saturdays . Hertford north train station is minutes away where you can travel to central London in 40 mins . We are sure you will fall in love with our friendly animals and picture perfect Country Estate. We also hold seasonal activities as the farm including children’s arts and crafts , bottle feeding of lambs. Farm assault course and treasure trail. Enquire for availability. DREAMS DESSERT food truck is on site, serving bubble waffles, crepes , afternoon tea ,Breakfast and lunch . Again this is seasonal and details of availability can be provided upon request. We will be adding many other unique cabins , glamping , camping and event options over the coming coming months.

Neighbourhood information

Set in the Grade 2 listed 60 acre Goldings country estate, with its ancient woodlands , pastures and waterways including the smallest canal in Britain, Goldings canal. We have friendly rare breed pigs , sheep, horses , cattle , donkeys etc . Perfect for families and couple who wish to enjoy the countryside, but within minutes of the historic town of Hertford with its cafes , bars , pubs , restaurants, nightlife( and farmers market on a Saturday). Loads of local attractions, a short distance away. We have children’s arts and craft activities at the farm plus an outdoor farm assault course and treasure hunt. These are seasonal and more details can be provided on request. Situated minutes walk to Hertford North train station, 40 mins to central London.
