Nelly’s cottage is located at the foot of Camlough Mountain, in the countryside, Approximately 1.6 mile from Newry City Centre. It would be advisable to have a car. Taxi's can be difficult to get in the current climate, I will do my best to organise if needed. It’s built in stone with that old look but quite modern inside. The cottage sleeps 5 people over 2 bedrooms. The perfect place to relax and unwind. Or get out and about, It’s very comfortable and homely, lovely comfy seating, comfy beds and a wood burning stove. Nice seating area outside to enjoy the peacefulness, also light the stove if you feel the chill, on those summer evenings.
My name is Marian , I live on the farm about a 5minute walk from the Cottage. Myself and my husband Seamus are never very far away if we need to be contacted. The farm is a very busy place and I help out, I love walking , meeting people and off course making sure my guests have everything they need. There is always a little welcome pack waiting for you on arrival to enjoy.
The area were the Cottage is located is very quiet, has beautiful views and a lovely walk up into the mountains. Very close to Camlough Lake( 2.3 mile) were you can swim or if you are into water sports perfect location. Camlough is a homely little village with a lovely restaurant, few bars a takeaway and supermarket. Newry City is about 7 minutes by car, 1.6 mile mostly down hill. Newry City has bars restaurants a hotel and 2 shopping centres. There is also the local swimming pool and a cinema. So there is always something to do close by. You can go for a lovely drive then walk up and around the Flagtaff magnificent views, Also Slievegullion again lovely drive then walk, and a play area for children.
