The excellent Ebrington Arms pub is a short ealk or drive away and there are numerous pubs and restaurants to visit within 2-3 miles of Mayfield Lodge.

Paxford is quiet village set in beautiful countryside with great walks on the doorstep. A short walk or drive will take you to great pubs and restaurants as well and numerous National Trust properties and other historic locations. At Easter each year the Paxford Races run and every other year the Paxfest music festival takes place on the village green.
