The utility area is very useful for safe storage of pushchair, bicycles etc, and can be accessed via the side passage. East Cowes is a small quiet town with a ferry to Southampton and a floating bridge over to West Cowes. There is a good sized Waitrose and smaller Co-op plus a number of pubs, restaurants and cafes. We are positioned very close to the marina, but also within walking distance of Osborne House. It is a short mostly level walk into East Cowes centre where you also find the classic boat museum, heritage centre, and a little further to a shingle beach with an outdoor café and children's play area. The Georgian town of Ryde with a beautiful and extensive sandy beach is just a short drive away. The main town of Newport on the River Medina is also close by. I highly recommend a lovely pub on the marina called The Lifeboat, and The Folly at Whippingham on the Medina is also well worth a visit.
