You won’t forget your time in this romantic, memorable place. The Rusty Hut is part of Bothan Jura Retreat with open plan living and a mezzanine sleeping platform. The hut is like a tardis, guests note how much bigger it is inside than it looks, it has a full size kitchen, oven, fridge, freezer, induction hob. The hut is heated using the wood burning stove. There is a small shower room with toilet and sink. There is a second double sofabed if you need two separate beds or don’t fancy sleeping up. Both huts are identical, The Rusty Hut has a secure garden, The Black Hut's is open and has fantastic views. With magnificent sea & mountain views, star gazing is second to none from your own wood fired hot tub.



We are Lynton and Pi and we have two children. We live on site. The huts are situated to the east of our property but are private and it is self check-in. We can be on hand if you need anything but hope you have everything and all information before you arrive.

Bothan Jura Retreat is located in the crofting community of Knockrome, 5km out of Craighouse heading north on The Long Road. Close to Corran Sands beach, it is an active crofting hamlet with livestock roaming freely. There are no fences. Please keep dogs under control and on leads. It takes 7 mins to drive into Craighouse or a 40 min walk. If you'd like to rent bikes please let me know and we'll get you in touch with Jura Bikes who can drop them off at the huts. We are developing our retreat for up to 6 guests, the cottage and huts are now all completed, but please bear with us as the site is still recovering and there are some building materials stacked up but nowhere near the accommodation.
