Hello, My name is Joe, and this is my place. I have been in the hospitality industry for over forty years, and currently work as a relief chef. I bought this place early 2020, and as I lost my job as a result of the pandemic I turned to letting out rooms to provide an income. I have since bought an old Canadian RV, which sits in my front garden and provides a private space for me to escape to when my house is full. I believe in offering good value for money, my place is not 'The Ritz', but I would like to think I can offer you a warmer and more informal welcome. The guests I have staying are generally professional people, working in the area through the week, and couples attending family events locally over the weekend. Thank you Joe

Joes place is situated in a quiet cul de sac, and offers plenty of adjacent on street parking. It is a clean, comfortable and relaxed working household with five bedrooms, 1 double, and one twin ensuite on the ground floor, and 2 double and a single with shared bathroom upstairs. The twin room has its own small lounge area with a sofa bed, so can accomodate 3 guests if required. There is a shared lounge/diner with TV with Amazon Prime and Netflix. A large dining kitchen with an individual fridge allocated to each room. Laundry facilities and a selection of cooking appliances. There are garden spaces front and back, with gas barbeque and fire pit. Table Tennis Table and Darts available outdoors, and a selection of books, board games, chess, cards. If you have any special requirements during your stay, we will do our best to accommodate.

A pleasant neighbourhood, supermarkets, pubs and restaurants within 10 minute walk, Retford has a lovely market square which is around 20 minutes walk away. The Railway Station is a 10 minute walk and is on the mainline to London/ Aberdeen. Regular trains to Sheffield, Leeds, York, Lincoln, or the new 'city' of Doncaster. Clumber Park, Sherwood Forest, and Thoresby Hall all within 30 minute drive.
