Tucked away in beautiful rural Norfolk, an elegant Shepherd’s Hut with far reaching views over the Norfolk countryside. There is an abundance of local amenities in the market town of Wymondham only 3 miles away. The Hut has open plan living with a private modern bathroom, there are a range of new appliances, and a fire pit to cosy up to after a day of exploring or walking around the countryside. The Owl’s Rest is the perfect get away for rest and relaxation, in beautiful but modern surroundings. The Owl’s Rest is nestled away in a private corner of our farm, it’s a wonderful location for a countryside escape. Underfloor heating is available for all year round warmth and comfort. The brand new, hand crafted hut comprises a sumptuous double bed with open plan living which includes a modern kitchen, sitting room area and a private en-suite bathroom with a waterfall shower. Fresh linens and towels will be provided for your stay. The kitchen is handmade from local oak and includes all the modern appliances you need to enjoy your stay, toaster, kettle, microwave and induction hob. All cooking equipment is here ready for those of you who like to cook. There is an integrated fridge/freezer also. Enjoy alfresco dining in your own secluded space outside, or we have a hand crafted dining area inside complete with slate placemats, cutlery, plates, bowls and glasses for the perfect romantic meal for two. Sit back and relax in the sitting room area, perfect for taking off your walking boots or dancing shoes, and curling up with a book or each other whilst enjoying the far reaching countryside views. Outside in your private, secluded garden there is a firepit to enjoy while gazing at the starry skies on a clear night. For those more adventurous cooks the firepit comes with a BBQ top, with all firewood and cooking equipment provided for you. Tea, coffee and milk included to welcome you. NO SMOKING INSIDE THE HUT. You will have access to your own private area of the farm. There are lovely walks and bridleways surrounding the area. The Owls' Rest is located on the edge of the small village of Hethel, so is nice and secluded to get away from the rush of modern life. We are only 10 minutes from the nearest market town of Wymondham, which has boutique shopping, banks, post office and take away restaurants. There is a Waitrose 5 miles from the farm, or a range of other supermarkets can also be found nearby. We also benefit from local farm shops selling their produce around us. The cathedral city of Norwich can be found only 20 minutes away, offering a range of independent and chain restaurants, museums and a wide range of shops. Our farm is surrounded by beautiful walks and cycle rides as well as amazing friendly village pubs including The Bird In Hand and The Green Dragon- one of the oldest pubs in the UK- both serving hot food until late, booking recommended. Every 2nd Sunday of each summer month our WWII museum opens to the public which displays the history of our farm where the 389th American Bomb Group were based. This is free entry- please do ask us for more information. For those who want to stay connected to the wider world, the 4G signal here is good, but cannot be guaranteed. Due to the rural nature of our property we are a couple of miles from the nearest bus stop so you will need a car, bicycle, horse or be willing to walk. *Lotus guests- Should you be working with Lotus Cars you are granted access to walk through our farmland to and from work - please notify us in advance. No vehicle access is allowed through the farm. * PLEASE NOTE* On occasion you may hear the Lotus Cars test track in the distance. This is sporadic and they do not use the track everyday or evenings.
