Paynes Farm is occupied by Tim and Tina Maguire with their two sons Jack and Archie along with their friendly golden retriever Benson and a black cat named Zeb. The extended family living outside are Kevin, Ozzy, Phoebe and Fabby the Alpacas, Chester and Churchill the Pigs, Popcorn and Picnic the ponies, Ava and Alice and their flock of sheep, Pip and her huge family of call ducks, geese, chickens and turkeys........all living in harmony!!

The village of Broadclyst is situated in the heart of the National Trust Killerton Estate and is only 5 miles from the ancient city of Exeter. Paynes Farm is located off Elbury lane and approached by a long private farm track/driveway and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. The local pub and village post office and church are within walking distance and there is a regular bus services in to the city of Exeter. There are many local country walks either from the cottage or a short drive away, Killerton offer long beautiful Estate walks or a little further a field, discover Ashclyst Forest just a few miles away. There are talks, tours and events for all the family held at Killerton throughout the year and in the old stables you will find a National Trust shop selling local crafts and food items, a licensed self service tea room in the old stable and one in the house itself is a welcome ramblers rest. Within walking distance of the cottage is the local village pub The New Inn serving bar meals or restaurant plus informal back room and table outside, skittles, pool and darts. Good for families. The Red Lion Pub is more of a restaurant, easy walk - approx 20 minutes.
