Instantly recognisable by the original water pump in the front garden, High Pump Cottage is a gorgeous 17th-century Cotswold abode for four, in the pretty village of Ebrington. Surrounded by the rolling hills of the ‘wolds’ this is a walker’s paradise with footpaths leading in all directions. Filled with character and charm and plenty of original features, High Pump Cottage also boasts dreamy interiors, a wood-burning stove and a secret garden room, where you can relax, listen to music, or perhaps put pen to paper for your first novel, with this lovely escape as your muse. The mobile signal in the cottage is very poor. Guests should connect to the Wi-Fi to make calls. Please note that there is CCTV in the porch facing the door of the cottage. Please note, the exterior Garden Room will be unavailable during the winter months (October - March).

Farm shops, delis, and markets: The excellent Vegetable Matters farm shop is just a mile from High Pump Cottage, selling locally grown fruit and vegetables. The farm shop also incorporates Meat Matters, a superb local butchery and a café selling a range of all-day breakfasts, sandwiches, and homemade lunches plus delicious cakes. Fillet and Bone in nearby Chipping Campden (2.5 miles) is a fabulous farm shop and food emporium, they also offer a click and collect food service. Jeremy Clarkson’s farm shop: Diddly Squat is just under a 30-minute drive. Nearby Chipping Campden holds a market on the second Saturday and Sunday of each month, Moreton-in-Marsh (6 miles) has a weekly Tuesday market, whilst Chipping Norton (15 miles) is on a Wednesday.
