Gwyllt Cottages are located in Llangaffo, in beautiful Anglesey, North Wales. Gwyllt cottages offer guests and their dogs a warm welcome to a uniquely secluded style of holiday accommodation. The cottages were once agricultural buildings. The owners, Jane, Dennis & Sian fell in love with the place for its beautiful stone buildings, enchanted copse, magnificent views of Snowdonia, it's tranquillity and charm. The three holiday cottages will provide a range of room styles to suit your needs. Cottage one | Bwthyn Siwan - one double & twin room Cottage two | Bwthyn Sian - one double room and one small double platform bed Cottage three | Hafoty - two double bedroom and one twin room Every cottage has been designed for comfort and style by the owners. Each boasts a lounge area with Charnwood log burning stove. The cottages are a perfect retreat and close to Newborough beach and Llanddwyn Island. Gwyllt Cottages are a Plastic Free Champion, using the Surfers Against Sewage Community Toolkit. They were part of helping Anglesey achieve its Plastic Free Community Status for the island, the first county in the UK!
The holiday cottages are owned and run by the Sykes family who provide a lovely friendly welcome for guests. They are based on the site should you need any information during your stay. Gwyllt Cottages are located near Newborough beach, where we like to walk the dog and swim in the sea.
Llanddwyn and Newborough Nature Reserve all within 3 miles for walks, cycling, sea kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming or for picnics on the beach. It is also great for cycling in the forest and seeing red squirrels. Llanddwyn is in the top 10 best beaches in Britain and if you visit, you will understand why. 30 minute journey and you are in the foothills of Snowdonia, perfect for mountain walks. If adventure does not rock your boat, here are some of our recommendations to enjoy in the area. Ynys Mon has several sites of importance, nearest to Gwyllt Cottages is Bryn Celli Ddu and is well worth a visit! There is a fantastic fish and chip shop nearby, we like to get a take way and eat on the beach whilst watching the sunset. It might be worth noting that Parc Genedlaethol Eryri/Snowdonia National Park has been awarded with an impressive dark sky status in December 2015. Ideal for stargazing! At Gwyllt Cottages you can hear the sounds of owls, buzzards and pheasants.. It is a perfect retreat!
