Your hosts are working professionals, both involved in international development issues, and exceptionally well travelled. Both work from home when not travelling for work. When at home we spend a lot of time in the garden and exploring slow food production - growing, storing and eating. We have a cat and bees - please bear in mind if you have allergies to any of these (or any other allergies, etc.). The owners have separate private living space. Quiet time between 10pm and 6am please.

Settle into our secluded guest house near Oxford! We offer comfortable rooms perfect for a work, education, or family visit; perfect for a relaxing break or a base for exploring the surrounding area. We are located in a quiet corner of Kennington, Oxfordshire, just a short walk from the River Thames. Equally close to Oxford and Abingdon. Rooms Our rooms have been recently refurbished and maintained to a high standard. They feature comfortable beds, ample storage space, tea/coffee making facilities, and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms also offer stunning views of the garden. Facilities Our guest house has a spacious kitchen, where you can prepare your own meals or relax with a cup of tea. There is also a TV / reading room, and a garden patio with outdoor seating. We offer free parking for up to three cars and bike storage behind a locked gate. Guests share a bathroom which is cleaned at minimum once daily. There is a second wash room downstairs. Food delivery services are also available to the property. Access to the house is via a keypad for the gate and front door, so you can come and go as you please. We have shoes-off policy inside the house, please. This helps keep the whole place clean for everyone - do bring some slippers or house shoes. Location In between Oxford and Abingdon, with easy transport options - near the A34 for cars; 20 mins by bus to Oxford; or even a 5km cycle or walk along the River Thames path, besides the flood meadow, all the way to the town centre. Nearby is a pub overlooking Sandford Lock on the River Thames for an evening meal. Other nearby food options include fish and chips and the community / sports pub, plus a small supermarket in Kennington village centre (15 mins walk).
