A large, 4-star modern house set on an elevated site in an acre of landscaped gardens, Glede Knowe Guest House has free Wi-Fi, an outside patio area and hearty Scottish breakfasts. The bedrooms are spacious and have views over the hills. They all come with Freeview TV and tea/coffee making facilities. There is either an en suite bathroom, or a private bathroom set outside the room. Alongside a cooked breakfast, guests can enjoy a continental platter, with croissant, cooked meats, cheese and tomato. Packed lunches are available on request. Glede Knowe Guest House does not offer evening meals but restaurants and pubs are within a few minutes walk away. Innerleithen is an ideal centre for walking, cycling or a visit to Edinburgh, which is 1 hour away by car. There is ample free parking on site.

Lesley & I love to relax by walking in the surrounding hills and alongside the lovely River Tweed which winds its way through this scenic valley. We can often be found playing tennis at the local club (the courts are in the park at the bottom of our garden and non members can hire the courts by the hour) or enjoying the mountain bike trails at nearby Glentress. We thoroughly enjoy meeting the many people who come to stay with us whether it is just for one night or for a week or so and we look forward to meeting you too !

Glede Knowe is situated in what we like to call "Secret Scotland". The Tweed Valley is quiet and peaceful which means that you will have a wonderfully, relaxing stay in our spacious rooms with comfortable beds and far reaching views of the surrounding hills and forests. Edinburgh is about 45 minutes away by car.

The scenery in the Scottish Borders is particularly beautiful. We have fantastic views from the house over the valley to the hills and forests beyond. There are many walks either on forest trails or alongside the River Tweed where you can watch trout and salmon jumping and if you are lucky you will see otters playing. The town is quiet and there is a park with a children's play area and tennis courts just below the house.
