Nestled within 4 acres of rolling countryside, originating in the 17th century the thatched AA 5-star Gold Fernside Bed and Breakfast has easy access to Exmoor. North Devon beaches are just 40 minutes' drive away and the M5 is less than 15 miles away. Nearby seaside resorts such as Exmouth are 1 hour’s drive away. Guests can visit the nearby town of Tiverton to see the remains of the medieval castle, 15 minutes’ drive away. Free WiFi, a flat-screen TV, and an iPod docking station feature in the spacious rooms. The en suite bathroom includes free toiletries, a bathrobe, slippers, a roll-top bath and a separate shower. Some rooms have a balcony and far-reaching views of the countryside. There is also a shared lounge with a CD player/radio and a fridge available. Both rooms have use of outdoor tables and chairs on the patio/garden area and the bench in the garden. The award-winning breakfast is made from locally sourced ingredients, including the property's own free-range eggs. The breakfast is AGA cooked and features fish options, as well as traditional Full English options, homemade bread or croissants with jam, and seasonal fruit and yogurts. Special dietary requirements are catered for upon request. With free parking, Fernside Bed and Breakfast, offers easy access to outdoor activities such as horse riding and walking. Exeter is 19 miles from the property and the award winning, Michelin-starred restaurant, The Masons Arms in Knowstone, is 8 miles away. National Trust properties Knightshayes and Killerton are 15 and 30 minutes' drive respectively.
