With scenic views surrounding this quaint village, Killyleagh is a hidden gem in Northern Ireland for locals and international travellers alike who are seeking a quiet place to recharge and get back to nature, spend a day golfing or hill walking, or enjoy the many outstanding eateries dotting the area
We took the reins of Dufferin Coaching Inn & Hall in August 2019 and have enjoyed getting to show Killyleagh to a wide range of visitors from around the world.
Lying on the southwest corner of Strangford Lough in beautiful County Down, Killyleagh is a plantation town and port accented by the stunning 13th century Killyleagh Castle – one of Ireland’s oldest inhabited castles. At the other end of the picturesque village lie the shores of Strangford Lough, known for its spectacular sea views, hidden caves, sheltered inlets, abundant fishing and rare wildlife.
