Custard Creams Cottage is a cosy cottage 3 minutes level walk from the heart of Knaresborough, a beautiful and thriving market town in North Yorkshire. Think of original beams, a log burning stove, rainfall shower, designer furnishings, part covered courtyard with outdoor dining space and pet friendly. Minutes walk to numerous pubs, cafes, restaurants and shops, as well as the train station and Knaresborough’s famed attractions such as Mother Shiptons Cave, picturesque riverside and boating. The cottage has recently been refurbished and offers downstairs an open plan layout with lounge and log burner, dining area and kitchen with the best splashback you've ever seen! Downstairs luxury bathroom with rainfall shower and a door leading out to a secure outside courtyard with partially covered seating area. Upstairs, the cottage has one main double bedroom, with gorgeous furnishings and a window seat, and one smaller room which can be made up with either twin beds or a king size bed, depending on who is staying. Again, this room is beautifully furnished. There is wifi throughout the property, Virgin satellite TV, an alexa to play your music through as well as books and games

We live 10 minutes away from the cottage so are on hand if you need us. Guests will be provided with our mobile details and we will be available to reply to messages as needed. Typically we offer self service check in; however if you would like us to meet you at the property please do let us know at the time of booking and we will endeavour to do so.

We are 5 minutes level walk from the centre of the lovely market town of Knaresborough, where there are a lot of shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. There is a local market every Wednesday, and there is an artisan market on the second Saturday of the month. The train station, on the York to Leeds line, is a 10 minute walk, and the bus station is 5 minutes away. There is a Sainsburys local supermarket 3 minutes away, the local swimming pool is 3 minutes away as is the local park with a childrens play area. 10 minutes walk will take you down to Knaresboroughs lovely ancient castle ruins and grounds, or down to the beautiful waterside with cafes, ice creams and boating (March - Oct). You will also find Conyngham hall, where there are tennis courts, pitch and putt and crazy golf in season. We are minutes away from lots of lovely off road walks - either by the river, through the gorgeous Nidd Gorge or further afield following the Knaresborough Round or Harrogate Ringway paths. Englands oldest visitor attraction, Mother Shiptons Cave, is also about a 10 minute walk away and worth a visit to see the petrifying well. Further a field, Harrogate and York are both gorgeous & worth a visit.
