Situated in Saddleworth, nestled in the foothills of the Pennines above Diggle, Craven Cottage offers boutique style accommodation, with great attention to detail for maximum comfort. This tranquil remote retreat is ideally located to enjoy the unrivaled views looking towards the Peak District. Only a short walk away from the Pennine Way with easy access to the quaint Saddleworth Villages and equidistant from Manchester and Leeds. We pride ourselves on comfort, pure luxury, home from home feel and a relaxing ambiance throughout your stay. The cottage has a private gated entrance and garden with one large bedroom and an extremely comfortable king size bed with luxury bed linen (750 thread count). The beautiful bathroom has been finished to a very high standard with sparkly floor to ceiling tiles and a ‘proper’ shower. The kitchen / lounge area is open plan and fully integrated with a sofa bed, reading chair, breakfast bar, kettle, fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave and hob. DOGS are accepted 10 pounds / night. There is a secure 3 acre, 6 ft fenced field for private use - My Dog Field (separate pre-booking required at 10 pounds per hour)! We try to provide everything you should need.

From the beginning we have aimed to create a holiday cottage paradise, where you can relax in comfortable surroundings and enjoy our beautiful area…planning your next trip before you even leave! Well behaved dogs accompanying their owners are welcome to stay at 10 pounds per dog per night. Please bring their own beds for them to sleep in. We don’t want to find dog hairs in your bed or on the sofas! The charge is to cover the additional cleaning that is required to keep up with our high standards, after our doggy friends have stayed. We also have a secure dog field that can be booked separately at 10 pounds per hour - My Dog Field.

The area gets good phone and 4G coverage - the cottage also has free WiFi. In our opinion Craven Cottage enjoys some of the best views in Saddleworth looking towards the Peak District, at the same time giving you everything you should need for a quiet and relaxing few nights away, or for a weeks holiday where you wish to use it as a base thanks to its central location. Saddleworth itself has lots of interesting days out to offer, before needing to venture out of the ‘shire’. No wonder it’s known by the locals as ‘God’s own country’.
