The property is located at the entrance to a small village. It is conveniently placed for the village amenities such as an Indian Restaurant, the local pub, takeaways and convenience stores, all within a few hundred metres. There is a walk accessed by crossing the bridge over the River Churnet where you will find the two resident black swans. A little further afield you will find the historic market towns of Ashbourne, Buxton and Bakewell. For those wanting to explore the natural area, the cottage is a short drive from Ilam Park, Dimmingsdale Valley and Hawksmoor National Trust. For family breaks you are only 10 minutes drive from Alton Towers and Splash Landings. Also, for animal lovers, Peak Wildlife Park is nearby. The property does not have private parking but there is off-street parking available and a free public car park a short walk away
