A beautiful mid-terrace old Cornish miner's cottage situated in central Truro with two bedrooms, bathroom, lounge, kitchen, dining room, private garden and off-street parking. Recently renovated throughout (July 2018) with a contemporary coastal-inspired interior. The ground floor living space is comprised of a cosy lounge with a 3 seater sofa, armchair, smart TV and an open fire; a dining room with table and chairs to seat 4, and a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, AEG oven, ceramic hob, kettle and toaster, fridge freezer and microwave. There is also a DAB radio/speaker with Bluetooth connectivity. Accessed through the kitchen door is private garden with decked area and table and chairs for dining as well as a charcoal BBQ. Upstairs you will find a generous master bedroom with king sized bed, wardrobe, dressing table and stool. At the rear of the property there is a second bedroom with a small double bed that overlooks the garden and a bathroom with walk-in shower cubicle. A breakfast starter pack is included with tea, coffee, milk, bread, butter, jam, marmalade and muesli. There is off-road parking for one small-medium sized car at the rear of the property.
Your hosts are Emma and Chris who have lived in Truro for 15 years and know the area very well. Emma and Chris live just down the hill from the cottage and are always happy to help guests find their way around or share recommendations of favourite places to go.
The neighbourhood is a quiet residential street full of pretty little traditional Cornish miner's cottages. The location is perfect for exploring Truro - it's less than 10 minutes to walk into the city centre from the front door - but far enough away from the busy shops, bars and restaurants to enjoy a bit of peace and quiet! From the front door... 5 mins walk to the Plaza Cinema, 10 mins walk to The Hall for Cornwall on Lemon Quay and 15 mins walk to Truro cathedral. There are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants within walking distance - one of the best pubs in Truro is literally at the end of the road! Truro train station is a 15-20 minute walk from the property, from there you can get trains to Falmouth, St Ives, Penzance among other places. The main bus station is a 10 minute walk away and the closest bus stop is just at the end of the road on Lemon Street.
