We no longer use the Lounge and dining room downstairs at the Hotel. During the Autumn2024 & Winter 2025 we will be converting these area two incorporate a number of Self catering apartments for a more luxurious guest experience. We will then be looking to remodel some of the exiting rooms into similar standard of accommodation. But for the remainder of the 2024 season Hotel Columbus will remain an affordable alternative to self-catering accommodation for a reasonable budget, providing very similar facilities to those more expensive options.

Hotel Columbus is a former guesthouse that we are now running as a collection of individual self-contained rooms with a varying degree of self-catering in each of them. You can select a simple room with TV, free WiFi and tea and coffee making facilities. A higher standard room with Smart TV and microwave. Alternatively a suite with Smart TV, fridge freezer and microwave with cutlery and crockery, for a more complete self catering experience. Its like have your very own apartment.

Hotel Columbus is towards the bottom of Columbus Ravine, close to Peasholme Park the North Beach and attractions including the Open Air Theatre and Alpamare water park and spa. Columbus Ravine is the main bus route both in and out of town and for the Coastliner to Whitby less than 20 miles away.
