My name is Andrew, I was born and raised in Oxfordshire but lived in Italy for a number of years where I was involved in old property restoration. I still have a base in Italy and visit as often as I can but I now live back in the UK as do my Italian family. I have two bi-lingual daughters one in London, the other in Bath. These days I work mostly as a freelance web developer and teacher but am always on the look out for a great property to restore, and this is how the house you are looking at came to be. It was a passion project and I have finished it to a level that I would be happy with if I was looking for a place to stay. My other interests include art and photography, in particular street photography. You will find examples of my work throughout the house, along with a growing collection of mid-century furniture. I love to mix old and new so you will find plenty of mod cons mixed in with what my younger daughter refers to as ‘the old stuff’. I always said that if I was to own an Airbnb I would want it to be nicest of its type in the area so if you do stay and find anything lacking, then please let me know so I can make it even better for the next stay.
