The property was built towards the end of the 19th century. Originally 2 cottages, the Briar Cottage Guest Suite was converted into one property in 1970, and further renovated in 1999. A very new extension was built in 2022, where your hosts, Polly and Andrew live. Single storey, we hope it has style and quality, with one thing for sure, you will be warmly welcomed and have a comfortable stay.

I have lived in our lovely 19th century cottage for 25 years. We added a large extension a couple of years ago, in which we now spend our time. The cottage is in the heart of a super village with a great community spirit. The area is surrounded by woods with well established walking routes. Located close to the famous Shibden Hall and the Halifax Piece Hall, there is no better base from which to explore the many places of interest in the area.
