Surrounded by mountains, Bridge End Farm Cottages are situated in the idyllic village of Boot, in the Lake District National Park, and are all awarded with Visit England 4, 4 Star Gold and 5 Star Gradings. The cottages are stunningly located in the south-west of the national park which has now become a World Heritage Site for its outstanding beauty. With free Wi-Fi and free onsite parking, the self-catering accommodation is set beside a beautiful 17th century packhorse bridge and the tumbling Whillan Beck, Wastwater lake is a 7 km walk from Bridge End, while Windermere lake is 24 km away. Coninston Water is 36 km from the property. Each cottage offers a cosy living area, with oak beams and exposed stonework. The cottages also include full Sky TV with all sports, movie and children's channels. Many cottages offer a private patio with garden furniture, fell views, and a barbeque. Two cottages have ground floor bedrooms and bathrooms, making them ideal for guests with mobility restrictions. The fully equipped kitchens have high quality appliances and include a ceramic hob, oven and dishwasher. Guests can enjoy a welcome tray with tea, coffee and biscuits, and fresh milk in the fridge. The cottages have access to a shared paddock with a riverside picnic spot. There are 2 inns serving food and real ales within 200 metres of Bridge End Farm Cottages. Guests can enjoy walking, hiking and cycling in the surrounding area. Eskdale is known as the ‘Gateway to Paradise’. Guests at the Bridge End Farm Cottages can visit the historic market towns of Cockermouth, Keswick, and Ulverston. Further attractions include country houses, castles, and gardens, including Holker Hall and Levens Hall.

Bridge End Farm Cottages consists of 7 historic 500 year old cottages sleeping from 2 up to 10 guests in a breathtaking location, set in the little village of Boot with it's traditional Inns serving excellent food and fine Cumbrian Ales. Boot lies in the glorious Eskdale Valley and the village nestles beneath mighty Scafell which can be seen from the village so the hiking is exceptional. Base yourself with us for climbing Scafell Pike and many of England's other highest mountains. We are in the heart of the Lake District National Park. The cottages, all of which bust with charm and character and unique historical features are quality graded 4 star, 4 star Gold and 5 star. The quality, location and history of our beautifully preserved cottages make for a wonderful experience for couples, families or groups. As well as luxury, our self catering cottages have excellent fibre wi fi and full Sky TV with all sports, movies and children's programmes . We have delightful gardens, free and allocated private parking, amazing hiking from the doorstep. There are both dog friendly and dog free cottages. Two are pet free - Scafell Cottage and Whillan Beck Cottage are strictly pet free. Our other cottages can accept two dogs in the large 4 bedroom cottages (The Farmhouse and Wastwater) and one dog in the smaller one bedroom cottages Hardknott, Wrynose and Stanley Ghyll) All dogs must be booked in. Please request bringing your dog when booking. There is also a small charge for dogs as we put in a throws for sofas, dog towels for dirty paws, a dog treat and we do an extra special clean afterwards. We have strict dog rules on where your dog can be walked as we have gardens that children play in. Bridge End Farm Cottages have won numerous awards and the most recent was receiving the Location of Excellence Award in the Travel and Hospitality Awards. All of our locations are unique and you will struggle to find anywhere quite like them! Our 7 cottages in Boot village are in the heart of the Lake District National Park. Experience sensational views of the surrounding mountains, enjoy countless walks from the doorstep, hike up England's highest mountains including Scafell Pike, or gently stroll along the footpaths by the river Esk. Boot village has two excellent pubs, well worth a visit to try their hearty Cumberland food. Eskdale stores is in the neighbouring village and sells a supply of delicious homemade cakes. Don't just take our word for it, come and see for yourself!

    Please note that Farmhouse, Scafell and Wastwater Cottages have 3 allocated parking spaces each. One parking space is allocated to the one bedroom cottages, Whillan Beck, Wrynose, Stanley Ghyll and Hardknott Cottage. If you require additional parking, please contact the property prior to arrival.

    Please note that the additional fold-out bed that can be provided measures 190 cm in length and 75 cm in width.

    Whillan Beck Cottage is a strictly pet free cottage.
