Bee Cottage is a comfortable, stylish house sleeping up to 6 in 3 bedrooms (1 twin and 1 double on the first floor, 1 king in the third-floor attic). An easy 10-minute walk into Rye + free parking a minute away.
Hello! I'm Emily, the owner of Bee Cottage. I'm a copywriter and journalist who specialises in design and interiors. I (and my husband Andrew) bought the house in 2013 because we absolutely love Rye and its surroundings - we hope you love it as much as we do. We spend as much time as we can at the house when it's not being rented out, and I hope that shows, in the best way - we love to cook and host friends and have made sure the kitchen is really well equipped, for example, and there are lots of toys and books for children. If you ever need any local recommendations, from pubs and restaurants to gardens and castles, just ask, we love to share our best finds.
The shops, pubs and restaurants of Rye are a 10-minute walk away, and glorious Camber Sands beach is a 10-minute drive. Rye station is also easy walking distance, with trains to London (London Kings X 1hr 15mins), plus local trains to get to Hastings, Bexhill and Eastbourne. There's loads to do in the area, including world-class gardens such as Great Dixter and Sissinghurst, lots of family-friendly activities including Bodiam Castle and the beach, brilliant British vineyards, fabulous food and drink - everything you need for a relaxing break.
