We have been in the hospitality trade for over 30 years now and so have lots of experience of what people need for their well earned holiday. We have lived in Broadstairs most of our lives so know both the area and all it has to offer very well. We try to be the very best hosts we can be and personally ensure that every guest is happy with their cottage and have an enjoyable holiday in Broadstairs. We are always here to answer any questions our guests may have. I really enjoy making sure that all of our customers have a great stay, with 5 star customer care! If you want to know the best restaurants, pubs or beaches to visit then just let us know and we will be happy to assist. we are always here to help! We understand what everyone is looking for and number one is cleanliness which is at the top of our list. We will work hard to ensure that your stay here in Broadstairs is both comfortable and enjoyable so hopefully you will want to return again!

Property info

Bay cottage is a beautiful character cottage about 400 years old. It has been lovingly refurbished but still retaining its character and charm, with exposed beams through-out. Set on three floors connected with a spiral staircase it may not be suitable for guests with any mobility problems. In the lounge there is a beautiful working open fire so this cottage is an ideal destination anytime of the year. The cottage is only 1 minutes walk from the main beach, Viking Bay and has excellent restaurant's , bars and shops also within a minutes walk. The cottage also has a beautiful private sunny courtyard garden to the rear where you can sit and relax. We would like to point out to all future guests that the cottage is set on three floors connected via a steep spiral staircase so this property may not be suitable for people with any mobility issues or small children. We are dog friendly but there is an extra charge .

Neighborhood info

Next door to the cottage is The Old Curiosity tea shop and a few minutes walk away from the famous Bleak House, where Charles Dickens stayed and wrote a few of his novels. Quaint shops, great pubs, restaurants and superb golden sandy beaches are all only a minutes' walk away. We are fortunate enough to have an excellent bus system on the Isle. The Thanet Loop’ is one of the most frequent services in the UK, running on average every 10 minutes and operates 7 days a week, from early morning until late evening. This service provides excellent connections between Margate, Broadstairs and Ramsgate. Other bus services offered by Stagecoach will enable easy access to the villages. The number 8 bus provides excellent links from Thanet to the nearby city of Canterbury.
