Bagstone Court Barn is a Grade 2-listed building in Gloucestershire. Situated on the old coach road from Bristol to Gloucester, just south of the Cotswold escarpment, it lies a dozen miles north of Bristol and eight miles from the historic market town of Wotton-Under-Edge. Guests stay in a converted cowshed - be assured it has been thoroughly cleaned since Daisy and her sisters left! While we no longer have cows, we and our guests share the property with our dog, numerous rabbits, ducks and birds - all of whom attract the odd fox. The cowshed faces west and there are few better spots than the terrace to enjoy a drink while the sun goes down. Close to the M4 and M5, our guests range from businesspeople staying while working in the area to holidaymakers stopping off on their way from the north of England to Cornish beaches to those basing themselves here while exploring the Cotswolds, South Wales and the West of England. We welcome well-trained, well-behaved dogs, especially if accompanied by well-behaved owners! However, please check first. We would, of course, expect the dogs to be supervised and not left alone.

My wife, Susan, and I have lived here for almost 15 years. We love sharing this beautiful place with friendly, responsible people. While we welcome return customers one of the biggest kicks we get from hosting is showing the cowshed to new guests - it and the barn definitely have a 'wow' factor.

Bagstone is close to both the M4 and M5 motorways, making it easy to access from whichever direction you're travelling. The hamlet has a very rural feel but bustling Bristol is under half an hour's drive away and the centre of Bath is 40 minutes. Cotswold towns like Tetbury, Stroud (both 30 mins) and Cirencester (50) are easily accessible. Thanks to the original Severn Bridge, Cardiff is just 60 mins by car, while the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley are also nearby.
