Just a short walk from the beautiful Carbis Bay beach, the apartment is also located within walking distance (around 25 minutes) of St Ives, via the coastal path. Or take a five minute stroll to the little Carbis Bay railway station, just a 2 minute train journey to St Ives. Carbis Bay beach is one of the best family beaches with most needed facilities on the beachfront. A range of ocean-based activities may be taken at The Ocean Sports Centre on Carbis Bay beach. Stroll a gentle 20 minute walk along the South West Coast Path from Carbis Bay to St Ives and enjoy the spectacular views over St Ives Bay. Explore St Ives with its narrow cobbled streets and fisherman's cottages and visit the local museum full of interesting facts about life and times of bygone St Ives. Take the St Ives Boat Services to explore Seal Island and Godrevy Lighthouse. An abundance of marine wildlife including dolphins, seals, sunfish, basking sharks and seabirds are shared on the way. Trewidden Garden, located on the outskirts of nearby Penzance, is renowned for it's collection of camellias and exotic shrubs as well as the sub-tropical Morrab Gardens, located between Penzance's town centre and promenade. St Michaels Mount is a picturesque island just off the shore at Marazion and accessible by causeway when the tide is low, or by boat at high-tide. Located just fifteen minutes from St Michael's Mount; you will find Godolphin House, a Tudor and Stuart mansion with a historic garden and one of Cornwall's best kept secrets. Surrounded by formal medieval gardens, orchards and bluebell woods, the impressive six bedroom mansion can be visited during the first week of every month.
