Escape to this quiet tranquil country house set in extensive grounds. Our King room/family room, suitable for two children up to the age of 12 years old only. This includes a separate private lounge with flat screen sky TV. The separate sleeping area has a king size bed together with two smaller beds if required. The room includes a flat screen tv, air conditioning, fridge with complimentary drinks and chocolates. A hairdryer is provided, tea and coffee making facilities are also included. Balcony rooms have the benefit of double four poster beds. The private balconies have cafe style table & chairs to sit out and relax overlooking the garden. All rooms are en-suite with T.V, tea & coffee making facilities, fridge & hair dryer. Continental breakfast is served in our airconditioned lounge. Al fresco breakfast can be served overlooking our gardens on request, weather permitting. Couples & singles aged 30 years only are preferred please. And of course families. Check in 3pm till 8pm (please call ahead if you require later check in) Check out between 7am till 10am. We provide Free Wifi and ample free parking. Electric charging can be available from a three-pin socket for a nominal fee. Barnfields retreat is a warm, friendly venue, come as guests and leave as our friends. Please let us know in advance for any special occasions so we can add that special extra welcome IE. Flowers / chocolates etc. Reduced rates for subsequent nights, please enquire. Places to visit - Clacton On Sea, Walton On The Naze, Frinton On Sea with lovely sandy beaches are a ten minute drive with all the facilities of a busy seaside town. The historic City of Colchester with its castle and Roman wall is a twenty minute drive. Visit Colchester Zoo, one of the largest in Europe, a full day out. Constable country in Dedham is a half hour drive, picnic by the river or hire boats on the river Stour, or take a leisurely cruise along the river by an electric boat. St Osyth is a 10 minute drive where you can book in at Curve Water Sports for a day of wakeboarding, kayaking, paddle boarding or enjoying the inflatable water park. There are two theatres in Clacton showing weekly tribute bands, plays & comedians. Locally we have pubs & restaurants and you are welcome to order in a takeaway.
