We fell in love with Le Boterff at first sight back in 2011. We made the move from the hustle and bustle of the UK to rural Brittany in 2012 and have no regrets. We love the unspoilt countryside and the peace and quiet. It's great to visit the local lakes. We enjoy visiting the many local restaurants, many of which offer superb value, especially at lunchtime.

Our location is so peaceful and quiet. Countryside views are spectacular. All guests are welcome to relax or play in our lovely gardens.

There are several lovely lakes nearby. The largest of these is the Lac de Guerledan (is around 15 minutes away by car). This is the largest lake in Brittany, it has safe sandy beaches at the water's edge, boating, kayaks, pleasure boats and even a water-ski school. There are cafes and restaurants at the lakeside at Beau Rivage, the Anse de Sordin and Bon Repos. There is a partly restored Abbey at Bon Repos that can be visited for a fascinating day out. The Nantes - Brest canal offers lovely walks and cycling. The village of Saint Mayeux (5 minutes away) has a small shop and bar. Nearby towns Corlay and Mur de Bretagne (both 10 minutes away by car) have restaurants, bars, a selection of shops and supermarkets. Larger towns nearby include Pontivy, Loudéac, Quintin, Rostrenen and St Brieuc. The country lanes around our property are very quiet and ideal for walking or cycling. Local attractions include markets, historic towns, chateaux, cinemas, bowling and various attractions suitable for families. Seaside resorts and lovely beaches can be reached to the North or South in around 45 minutes.
