La Petite Maison is a stone built cottage set in an acre of garden in the Normandy countryside. It is situated next to the owners property who are on site for any queries you may have. The cottage is beamed throughout with tiled floors. On there ground floor there is a kitchen area which is fully fitted with cooker, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and microwave, table and chairs.. A step leads down to the lounge area which has a bed settee, that sleeps two . There is a Television with an English Free View box and also DVD player and DVD's for your use. A window looks out over to the garden and there are also two sets of doors to the front of the property which leads out onto a seating area. For the colder months there is a wood burning stove. Along side the property there is an outdoor hot tub for your use. You are free to wander around the garden whenever you wish. Stairs lead from the ground floor to the bedroom which has a king size bed, bedside lockers and a chest of drawers. There is a ceiling fan. Off of the bedroom there is a bathroom with shower/toilet and wash basin. All linen and towels are included as are toileties

I am Poppy and my husband is Steve we moved to Normandy last year after retiring. We love the countryside and all it has to offer. Steve is into motorcycles and we welcome motorcyclist at the cottage.

We are set in the rolling countryside which gives you good access to walking and cycling. If you are a fisherman, nearby we have fishing lakes. We are within an hour's drive from the beach and the beautiful Mont St. Michael, the ancient port of St. Malo and many pretty villages. We are a short 20 minute drive from the Medieval town of Domfront, who once a year put on a medieval re-enactment. The birth place of William the Conqueror is Falaise where there is an impressive castle. The D Day landing beaches are about 60 miles and there is a wealth of history in the area, Caen is our nearest port which is 60 miles but Le Harve, Cherbourg, Dieppe are all within easy reach. Eurotunnel is 250 miles. There are many lovely scenic roads to drive or ride. This is an ideal area to explore Lower Normandy from.
