We welcome guests by taking them on a tour of the facilities and showing them to their room. We continue to assist them during their stay based on their needs, including recommending local attractions, shops and ways to get around. Guests use the dining car and BBQ/garden area to prepare and eat meals, and can place their food in the shared refrigerator. Our largest room/suite has its own kitchenette. Guests range from families, couples, sole travelers, pet owners, and groups of friends. We also have groups booking the entire train, giving them private access and usage of all facilities. We continue to receive many positive comments in our guest book, social media sites, and face-to-face. Many people comment on the uniqueness and cleanliness of the train, and their great night's sleep.

The train is open for visitors from mid May to early September. Built in 1908, Tuuri Train Station is the only remaining station of its style in Finland. The station's steam train has "oriental express" inspired carriages with six compartments (each have a private bathroom) and a dining car, surrounded by a station garden which includes a BBQ area. Guests enjoy smelling the fresh air, seeing the blue sky, and breathing the serenity of beautiful country side. Many local attractions are in walking distance or are a short drive away.

Tuuri is a village located in Alavus in the Southern Ostrobothnia region of Western Finland. Originating from Finnish mythology, the name Tuuri means luck, harvest and success. The train accommodation is 500 metres walking distance to the second biggest department store in Finland, Veljekset Keskinen. Adjacent to the department store, is Tivoli amusement park that offers free entry for children and is open during the summer. Other local attractions include Ähtäri Zoo, home to two pandas from China, as well as Huikia rope adventure park, Kart Ring International, Duudsonit Activity Park, Kuortane Olympic Training Center, and PowerPark Amusement Park. Restaurants in Tuuri are in walking distance, and others in Alavus are a 10-minute drive away.
