We offer our lovely guesthouse with sauna and a hot tub to Helsinki area visitors who appreciate nature, privacy and maybe a round of golf- we are located right by the 12th green of Kullo Golf and 40km from Helsinki centre. The cottage is an old log building, carefully renovated to preserve its spirit while suiting the needs of a comfort lover. The cottage has an open concept space with a queen size bed + lofted mattresses for extra people after 2. Not included: - Hot tub (80e/ first day, 40e/ each following day) The cottage is a part of a larger property. You'll have a private entrance, deck with bbq and a hot tub, and a private garden. Guest parking is marked with black signs. The building, dating back to year 1948, is a traditional Finnish log house. It has electric heating (including floor heating in the hallway and showers) and a fireplace which will make your stay cosier during the cold winter days. The kitchenette is suitable for simple cooking. It's fitted with a fridge and a small freezer, a microwave oven (no regular oven), 1 induction hot plate, water boiler, toaster and a coffee machine. You'll also find dishes, some basic cooking equipment, spices, coffee and tea. You'll also have a charcoal BBQ on your deck (bring coal!) HOT TUB It's a wood heated tub, and it will take about 6 hours on the first day, and 3 hours on the following days for the water to get hot, depending on the outside temperature. We don't live on the property, so you'll need to heat it yourselves. Firewood needs to be added every hour. Hot tub is not available when the outside temperature drops to -10C. Then it's simply too cold to use it. Please let us know in advance if you wish to use it. FIREPLACE is only used during the cold wintertime. You may burn candles in the fireplace for ambience. Electric heaters keep the cottage warm around the year. SAUNA is easy to use and it's included in your daily rate.

The cottage is located at a corner of a small and sleepy countryside village, tucked away between a golf course and the sea. The cottage is close to both Helsinki and Porvoo, well connected to major roads. The country club restaurant is nearby, serving delicious lunch every work day. There's also a local pizzeria that delivers home and a BBQ by the old church. Other than that, the closest restaurants, shops and services are in Porvoo. Helsinki-Porvoo highway is 3km from the cottage. Helsinki-Vantaa airport is half an hour by car. Kilpilahti harbour and industrial area is located few km down the shore- chimneys can be seen from our yard on a clear day, and south wind carries humming sounds. The cottage sits in the woods, but it's by no means 'off-grid' kind of place. The cottage is accessible only by car, there's no public transport running nearby. Access by car is easy though, the cottage is only 5 minutes away from Helsinki - Porvoo highway. The road is kept clear from snow in wintertime.
