The town tends to attract a more discerning holidaymaker, compared to its neighbour Playa de las Americas. Beaches The beautiful golden beach of Los Cristianos has actually been made with sand imported from the Sahara Desert. The beach gently shelves into the Atlantic Sea. There are a host of water sports available on the beach, including windsurfing, diving, jet skis, sailing and light-hearted activities such as banana boats.
