Port d'Alcúdia is a modern holiday resort with a wide range of sports and leisure facilities. The holiday centre extends to Platja de Muro and almost to Can Picafort. The old fishing port has been largely preserved and is still active. Many good restaurants, bars and shops have settled around the modern sailing harbour. This part with its promenade and departing excursion boats, which sail to the bays of Alcúdia and Pollensa, invites you to take a leisurely stroll in the afternoon and evening. The beautifully maintained long white sandy beach of Alcúdia is partly protected from the coastal road by a few hotels, pretty villas, pine trees and palm trees or by the former dune landscape that still exists further east. Even in high summer, the beach is not overcrowded and everyone can find a nice spot for themselves. It is particularly suitable for families with children, as the fine sandy beach slopes gently into the sea. The kilometre-long sandy beach is also ideal for long beach walks and sunbathing. An excursion to the S'Albufera nature reserve is a must. It is a 1200 ha marsh area with many different species of birds. It is located in the area of Platja de Muro. A wonderful experience for walkers. S'Albufera can be reached by car, bike or bus.
