Company information

We are a Spanish couple who restored a historic villa into 7 lofts. Guests book a loft or the entire villa. Revamp took 2 years as we found the property in ruins. Dating from the 1500s, it is part of a UNESCO heritage Hospital. We got involved because we didn't find appealing accommodations when visiting the historic area. FIXIE offers high ceiling, light filled loft apartments with industrial windows looking onto a cacti courtyard. The pool is nestled below the 1500s arches. Most guests appreciate the fact that they find studio apartments instead of rooms, and the large common areas. Committed to local crafts, Dominican artisans made our rattan chairs, repurposed mahogany tables, and cacti pots. The design is not luxurious, but rather simple, exposing natural materials. Amenities are basic and there's no TV, so you can reconnect.

Property information

Featured on CN Traveller, and AD, FIXIE is a historic restored villa with a scenic pool surrounded by a cacti courtyard. FIXIE is not a hotel. Guests rent an apartment (or the whole villa), and there's no reception. We have a self check in process, giving entry codes prior arrival. Amenities are basic and there's no TV. On the other hand, space both inside and outside the room is larger than most hotels and apartments. Design is industrial and minimalist, with cement floors and earthy walls. Our guests are independent travelers who love this approach. PAYMENT: no amount is charged when you enter a credit/debit card on BOOKING. We will email a payment link after reservation. If you pay with credit/debit cards or PayPal, fees should be paid by Guests.

Neighbourhood information

All guests praise our premium location. Our street is clean and nice to walk. Arzobispo Meriño Street is becoming trendy with some restaurants only steps away. The cathedral and main square are just 200 m away. At sunset, the nearby cafes and restaurants, are the perfect walk. Find main monuments at walking distance: Parque El Conde, San Francisco Monastery, and Plaza España. Walking distance are also National supermarket, banks (Banreservas and Popular) and most recommended restaurants.
