Klærke Hostel is a family-run resort established in 2005 by Ole Klærke. Now, son and daughter-in-law, Jakob and Pernille are running the Hostel together with Ole. So now there are three generations of the Klærke family living on the property. Hospitality, cozy surroundings as well as good service These are our keywords when we seek to give our customers the best stay possible. It is very important to us, that our guests are well received, when arriving. We are more than happy to help you, in planning your vacation and sigthseeing in the surrounding area or even in the whole of Denmark. We wish to create the ideal setting for a wonderful experience with us, whether it is a one night stay, one week stay, SmukFest or an extended weekend for larger families are all welcome.

Surrounded by green beech forest and located in the heart of Jutland, our holiday home is situated. We are in our unique location the ideal starting point for a unique stay in Søhøjlandet, a few kilometers from towns like Skanderborg and Ry, as well as attractions such as Himmelbjerget, Gudenåen and SMUK FEST (music festival). At Klærke Hostel you will find 9 large rooms, two of which have their own toilet and bathroom. In the other rooms, toilet and baths share between rooms. All rooms contain a double bed and 1-2 single beds. I 4 of our rooms the are extra beds located on a loft, which can easily create a nice place for children and adults. I attach to the rooms there is a 50 m2 large kitchen room with a fully equipped kitchen and dining areas for up to 26 people. Cooking and dining during your stay will therefore not be a problem, whether you are few or a larger group of people.

Experience time standing still, while you sit on one of our many terraces and experience the beautiful tranquility of nature. Enjoy a meal or enjoy conversation with family or friends with the nature and lake as the background scenary. We will guarantee you that it is world-class relaxation. You can also discover our 10 hectare grounds. Take a walk around our lake. The lake is not suitable for angling or Put and Take, but if you need to practice your abilities like anglers, you are welcome to take a fishing rod. However, you must have permission from Klærke Hostel before throwing the line out. If you’re in to a bit more nature, biking or hiking, you can easily use the forest for this. Hemstok forest is a privately owned forest but with public access. The forest is the eastern part of Denmark’s largest cohesive forest area – the forests in Søhøjlandet
