For people who want to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, something different from the dime a dozen hotel rooms and who are looking for the charm of the atmosphere of yesteryear. If you are visiting the land of Grimm's fairy tales, the enchanting German Harz Mountains, spend the night in Little Red Riding Hood's grandmother's hut. Enjoy nature in this unique tiny house: Arode Hütte Harzilein offers you everything you need for a romantic stay in the Harz. This 180-year old small half-timbered house has a charming living room with wood stove, seating are, kitchenette with dining table, a double bed vide, a complete modernised bathroom with a shower, toilet and sink and an entrance with an electric stove/oven. In the back of the house if a large mountainous garden with beautiful views over the village. Arode Hütte Harzilein is for sure one of the most unique objects of Germany. This tiny house is snug and cosy with the athmosphere of Bayern, and all of that in the Harz ;). Everything is here for a holiday to never forget. This house has tons of charm, but might not be suited for people used to the luxoury of a modern house or hotel room. If you're looking for that, please check out our Arode Kleiner Harzensfreund apartment in Sankt Andreasberg which is completely modernized and will suit your needs. Please note: This accommodation is NOT suitable for those looking for a 5-star hotel or ultra-modern facilities. Avoid disappointment and book elsewhere. The Hütte is well suited for 2 guests. We advise to only come with 3 or 4 people, if you're using the Hütte for sleeping only and you're away during the day. In our opinion it is too crowded to actually live there with 3 or 4 people.

Hütte Harzilein is located in the valley of the attractive center of the village of Zorge, close to the local bakery/cafe, restaurant, church and kurpark. It is a picturesque village with half-timbered houses and a babbling river. From the large backyard - where you have a magnificent view over the village - you can walk straight onto the hill into the forest. At the end of the village there is a large outdoor swimming pool for cooling off during the summer months. The Harz offers numerous beautiful cycling and hiking trails, fortresses, castles, caves and dams, lakes and waterfalls. This unspoiled natural beauty and pure mountain air are more than worth a holiday. Each valley has its own secrets for you to discover. In winter you are close to the well-known ski areas of neighboring village Hohegeiss, the cities of Braunlage and Sankt Andreasberg, where you can experience skiing and tobogganing fun with the whole family. Braunlage actually has the largest (15 km) and most northern ski areas of Germany. Zorge is located in the heart (Harz ;) ) of Germany and is easy to reach via the A44 & A38 motorways. Coming from the highway, it is just a 20 minute drive to reach the Hütte.
