The restaurant in the immediate vicinity was destroyed by the flood. There are many beautiful hiking trails for exploring the Eifel region. The nearby towns of Ahrweiler, Bad Münstereifel and Monschau offer Medieval flair. The property offers free parking. Good day-trip destinations from here include the Badewelt Euskirchen baths (20 minutes), the Nürburgring racing circuit (25 minutes) and the Fantasialand Brühl theme park (40 minutes).
