For stays from January 1, 2023, all residents in Colombia and all non-residents staying in the country for 60 consecutive days or more must pay the national sales tax (19%) to the accommodation during their stay. Foreign citizens with a tourist visa are exempt from paying this tax. If a person subject to paying the tax and another person who is exempt share a room, the rate may be applied to the entire room.

Para estancias a partir del 1 de enero de 2023, todos los residentes en Colombia y todas las personas no residentes que permanezcan en el país 60 días consecutivos o más deberán pagar el impuesto nacional sobre ventas (19 %) al alojamiento durante su estancia. Los ciudadanos extranjeros con visado de turista están exentos del pago de este impuesto. Si una persona sujeta a pagar el impuesto y otra exenta del mismo comparten habitación, la tasa se podrá aplicar a toda la habitación.
