The Apartment lies on the 18th floor in an old building with two lifts, in the historical area of downtown Hangzhou. From here you can walk to most historical heritage in Hangzhou city, including the West Lake,in 30 minutes. It also cost you just about 20 minutes to the city railway station; 15 minutes walk to the metro station, Ding'an road. 5 minutes to a big local supermarket. There is an indoor traditional Chinese mart on the first floor of the building. You can find delicious and cheap local food in the mart from 6am to 6pm. Old granny and grandpa sit in the lobby of the building in the day to spend time. The neighberhood is safe, friendly and convenient, While it is very queit indoor. There are quite a few books and a big bed in the apartment, besides there are many books&DVDs&CDs&cassetts free for you to read and watch during your stay, including the new book of mine. I am Yan. I am a Chinese writer based in HZ since September 2015. Before then, I had been a journalist and author based in Shanghai for more than 10 years, having interviewed and written many articles about well-known writers, artists and humanists around the world. In September of 2015, I moved to and settled down in Hangzhou,where I had spent three years in the Graduate School of Zhejiang University from 1998 to 2001. I had published several novels, short stories and many articles. My new book, Hangzhou on My foot was published by Zhejiang University Publication company in the Feb. of 2017. In this Book, I writes about my walk in the historical streets and lanes in Hangzhou and what I see and find there. Hangzhou is my home.
