This vacation home in a gated community was built in 2022 with a brand new interior design, furniture, and appliances. It is on the second floor and features a 120-m² (1300-square-feet) private outdoor terrace with a 20-m² (215-square-feet) glass sunshine hut encompassing a shower facility. The 88-m² (950-square-feet) apartment has indoor three bedrooms, one full bathroom, a full kitchen, and a living room with a dining area. It is family, kid, and pet friendly.
The building has an elevator and is connected to an underground parking facility that is temporarily free in 2023. Ground areas between residential buildings and outside of the gated community can also be used for free parking. The apartment has underfloor heating, warming your comfort during winter visits. In addition to high speed Wi-Fi internet, you may enjoy a 55" LED smart TV in the living room. The bright kitchen provides a four-door French-door large capacity fridge, two natural-gas stoves, and a powerful ventilation. The vacation home supplies hot water in the bathroom, kitchen, and patio. The patio highlights a large outdoor space, a corner of which is enveloped in a green-house-like glass hut. Inside the glass hut, you can use the washing machine, dryer, shower, and outdoor kitchen or listen to relaxing rain sounds.
Bedroom A has a bed 1.8 m × 2 m (71" × 80", approximately king size), Bedroom B has a bed 1.5 m × 2 m (60" × 80", approximately queen size), Bedroom C has a folding bed 1.2 m × 1.8 m (48" × 71", approximately full size futon). Each bedroom has a closet and shelf spaces. You may also rest in the sofa in the living room or savor a night in a tent (not included) on the patio.
This is Jerry, a graduate student at the University of California, Irvine. I grew up in Baotou, a city in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. I have lived in Beijing, Chengdu, Anqing, Montreal, Seattle, and Irvine. Among countries, I have been to China, Canada, the United States, Mexico, Cuba, and Dominican Republic. I do translation, research design, customer surveys, GIS processing, and data analysis. I like to compose music, calligraph, paint, and swim. When visiting new places, I typically check out museum, art galleries, and scenery spots. As a student, I usually choose economical accommodation, such as hostels, motels, and friends' spare space, when travelling alone. However, in groups I also enjoy vacation homes.
My parents in their late-50s recently bought a brand new vacation home in Guiyang, which I am eager to find out myself. They stayed in the neighborhood for a few months during the interior finish process and have lived in the home for a few week as of February 2023. What my parents like the most is the mild, four-season, monsoon-influenced humid subtropical climate, tempered by a high elevation. It has cool winters and moderate-temperature summers, with a consistent 75% humidity throughout the year. Its mild climate, air quality, luxuriant greenness have made the region ranked No. 2 in the Top 10 Summer Capitals. In contrast to their hometown Baotou on the northern border that has cold winters, my parents have had a much more lively winter time in Guiyang. My parents also favor the vicinity full of shopping centers, amusement parks, and national forests. They have explored the adjacent attractions, some within a walking distance, over the weeks and every day they were excited to share photos of their new discoveries.
Featuring a fabulous mountain and forest view next to a deep lake, the vacation home is a 15-min drive from Guiyang Airport (Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, KWE, from which you could pick up a rental car) and half an hour away from urban noise in Guiyang city center. The vacation home is located beside Shuanglong Town (also known as Yunqi Valley or Wushan Valley), a theme park featuring local foods, indigenous cultures, water sports, traditional architecture, natural scenery, art galleries, museums, and night venues. You will be literally one block away from all the amusement. Numerous restaurants featuring local specialties and a variety of Chinese and international cuisine styles are waiting for you to experience in adjacent areas. Several supermarkets and convenience stores are within walking distance, including Hualian Gouwu, Xinshiji Supermarket, Duoyouhao, and Qianrunfeng. A few large shopping malls, such as Yunhu Super Market (next to a movie theater) and Modu Shopping Center (including gyms, an e-sports center, and a golf course), sit in a very short distance. There are numerous tourist attractions in short distances: Guizhou Longjiashan National Forest Park, Houzigou Scenic Area, and Park Shiliciligou in Town of Gujiao, to name a few within one hour drive that are perfect for hiking, serene views, and trail exploration.
