Here it feels like being high in the mountains, albeit only 40 minutes from the nearest town, Bellinzona.  Faido, the largest municipality in the Leventina, can be reached in 13 minutes by car: here you will find 3 supermarkets, a famous bakery that bakes typical products, 2 pharmacies, a butcher's shop and a dairy of local products. Among the most visited natural landscapes in the area are the wonderful Piumogna waterfalls, which are very popular with tourists in summer. For mountain lovers, there are many hiking trails on the peaks of Pizzo Pettine, Pizzo Molare, Pizzo Forno and Carì, famous for its popular ski area during the winter, which can be reached in 15 minutes. Chironico, a major destination for climbers from all over Europe, is 25 minutes away: this is where many sportsmen come to boulder in the Bouldering Area created thousands of years ago.
