Conveniently located near the YLW airport our ranch-style home is in the sleepy Scotty Creek neighbourhood. Couples, families or extra tall people can request an additional queen bed which is located in a separate room. Guests are warmly welcomed upon arrival and it is our hope they will feel at home in our home! Free parking, access to a full kitchen, laundry facilities and high-speed internet your funds will stretch further here! While not completely scent-free we limit toxic synthetic fragrances and avoid harsh chemicals for cleaning.
Whether a short stop on the way or staying for a while, choosing this family stay means you get to enjoy more than just a clean, safe place to rest your head. Your hosts include me and my husband David and our 2 daughters. We can offer recommendations and share tips and enjoy getting to know you and hearing about your day's adventures. We are happy to interact as much or as little as you like - we’ll take your lead. Come and go from the side entrance and relax downstairs, watch a DVD or use the HDMI cord to stream from your laptop if you are seeking some alone-time. And you are equally welcome to come upstairs and chat and participate in whatever the family is up to. It might be a puzzle, craft, drawing, music-making, reading, or popcorn and a show on Disney Plus. We have a piano, guitar, ukulele, tin whistle and enjoy singing. Guests are welcome to play the instruments or take a piano lesson with me! We have a large yard with a cherry, apricot and 2 peach trees and a vegetable garden which grows raspberries and rhubarb best. I’m not so green-thumbed. I’m into music, spirituality, human development and health.
Blessed to live in this beautiful Okanagan valley, we consider it a real privilege to be able to share our home with travellers from around the world. Vineyards, orchards, parks, walking and biking trails, beaches and lakes, there is an abundance to enjoy during your stay. A vehicle will be required as the public transit to our community, which is just outside the city limits, is very limited. Mill Creek Park, Kangaroo Farm, Sunset Ranch Golf course and the closest grocery stores and restaurants are a 10min drive away. 30min drive to get to the heart of downtown or the most popular beaches.
