Greg is originally from New Zealand. He moved to Canada in 2002 and settled in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta where he worked in the oil and gas industry before moving to PEI in the fall of 2018. Angie hails from Rocky Mountain House, Alberta. She has worked in offices for most of her career - a law firm, an accounting firm and for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police - before moving to Kensington in the fall of 2018. Greg and Angie have 2 children, a daughter and a son, as well as 3 beautiful grandchildren. Owning a bed and breakfast in PEI was a years long dream which came to fruition with the purchase of The Home Place in 2018.

Built in 1915, thi property is a historic Inn in Kensington, PEI. We offer a Victorian parlour, a large bright dining room, a lounge where you can just sit and relax and read a book or watch tv. For those who prefer to play games, we have several board games to choose from. The Inn offers a verandah where guests are able to sit and relax with a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the fresh air. The coffee is always ready and offered to our guests for free. There is an on-site confectionery where you are able to purchase soft drinks, chips, and chocolate bars. Business License #1100949

Kensington is centrally located and the perfect place to base yourself while exploring everything our beautiful island has to offer! Ten minutes from Summerside, The Home Place Inn is within walking distance of The Confederation Trail and The Haunted Mansion. Cavendish is a short 20 minute drive where you can visit Anne of Green Gables, The Village of Avonlea and beautiful beaches. Charlottetown is 40 minutes drive. You don't want to miss visiting the Parliament Building which is the Birthplace of Confederation, and since you are in the area, make sure to hop on down to the harbour and do a little shopping and have some delicious Cows ice cream! For the golfers amongst you, there are several golf courses for you to check out within a 20 minute drive. And don't forget to spend some time in our beautiful little town of Kensington where you can get a fabulous meal at Family and Friends, and the Island Stone Pub, as well as visit the Haunted Mansion.
