In the six days of our stay, our room was only cleaned one time with change of sheets and towels. Our trash was never empty for five days and we were told it would be serviced every other day. Went to service desk three times- brought cleans towels to our room ourselves. Construction happening outside our window. But for the money- go elsewhere. I expected top service from this type of facility. My sister-in-law and I were on a retreat after the deaths of our husbands. What a bummer!

I like the small town feel with everything needed just close by. The views are amazing and the trails being so near the urban center is also an added bonus. This is type of city or town I would love to live in.

They are gradually working on the sidewalk so still a bit inconvenient to walk into town. Hopefully it will make a difference when done.
You also still have to contend with the animal bridge construction at Ekahaw along highway which slows down traffic during the week.

Our favourite town in the Rockies.
Our favourite town in the Rockies. Easy to navigate and lots of facilities. Main street has great shops. Lots of restaurants, fast food outlets and 2 supermarkets. Would recommend Bridgette bar for dinner. The town has developed a lot since our first visit in the 1990s.

We really enjoyed Canmore as it was smaller and quieter than Banff. So easy to navigate by car; so many paved trails and sidewalks to get you into the downtown core without using a vehicle. Great restaurants and shops!

It has the typical tourist shops, art galleries, and restaurants, but also the local shops such as a nice grocery store, the best quilt shop I've ever seen (The Suger Pine Company), delicious sandwich cafes (Bella Crusta, I think), health food cafes (Communi-tea), and non-touristystores. The traffic isn't too bad due to limited large hotels. There are many out-of-town roads to explore to see animals and scenery. The best parts for us were the beautiful mountains all around, the local bakeries and cafes, and the smaller town vibe. If you like West Yellowstone, Wyoming, you'd probably like Canmore even more. It's not overly touristy like Jackson, Wyoming is. There is a lovely walking path along a river that was very pleasant. Saw a couple moose crossing the river. We heard there were bears around, but never saw any. They love the fruit on trees.
The staff were all really friendly and helpful. They fixed anything that broke right away. The cabin, although old, was clean, comfortable and had plenty of cooking utensils. The location is great, 5 mins from Canmore and 20 from Banff. It makes you feel like you're camping with the luxury of a bed. It's also the cheapest place in the region. I would recommend it if you're after a more basic experience for a good price.
The hotel was very clean and the room was spacious and comfortable. A good location where we could drive to the downtown core in 5 minutes. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was good value in relation to overall accommodation prices in Canmore (which is quite expensive overall). The pool and hot tub were nice.
There's not much to like here. You would expect a better hotel after paying $300+
After being in Canmore and Banff hotels for more than 10 times, this one was very disappointing.
