A quiet Manitoba cottage hidden away on the prairie’s edge – a place to retreat and rest at a beautifully preserved country chapel home. A wonderful place of solitude for one, a family of six or a getaway for two. The cottage, adjacent to the 1940’s chapel which is our home, was the former space of The Old Church Bakery (now located in Steinbach). This renovated space is all yours for your stay with its unique and charming features that delight the young and old. The cottage is furnished with a queen size bed in the bedroom, a 3-piece bathroom, a full kitchen, a sitting area with a gas fireplace and pull-out couch, a cozy loft with an antique 48” double bed. Everything you need… from a family-style breakfast brought to you in the morning to relaxing in front of the fireplace to making your own cup of tea. The home cooked breakfasts, chosen from a provided list of delightful options, are carefully prepared and presented, using home grown and local products. Gluten free options are available. Enjoy and explore the 3.5 acre country property with outdoor sitting areas, trails, fire pit, vegetable and flower gardens, and prairie skies perfect for star gazing.

Our delight is to create a stay and atmosphere to facilitate your rest and retreat. David is a cabinet builder and custom woodworker. Junia has spent many years teaching locally and globally. We are happy country folk who love the outdoors. We enjoy canoeing, hiking, gardening, camping, and traveling. We love spending time with our family and sharing our space with family and friends.

Rosedale Chapel is 5 km from the city of Steinbach and 30 minutes from Winnipeg. It’s half an hour from Sandilands Provincial Forest, a place for hiking, cross country skiing, mountain biking, and picnicking. This corner of Manitoba offers a great selection of high quality, local family businesses in the form of culinary stores, restaurants, bakeries, and green houses. In the summer come and enjoy the u-pick flower and berry farms and in November and December, come pick your own Christmas tree from the best in Manitoba Christmas tree farms.
